A New Hauling Service in the Wiregrass

Junk Pickup Dothan is a new junk removal service working in Dothan and the towns around it. We are not going to claim a long history, because we do not have one. What we can tell you is exactly how the work runs, so you know what you are agreeing to before anyone pulls into your driveway.

People hesitate to book this service for consistent reasons. Nobody wants a stranger guessing at a price on the spot, nobody wants to hear at the end that the load ran bigger than the quote, and nobody wants to find out later that something in the pile was not meant to go.

How a pickup actually works

It starts with the quote form. You tell us what is going and where it sits. Photos do the heavy lifting: one shot of the pile, one of the doorway or gate we would carry through, and a note about stairs. If something is unclear we ask rather than padding the estimate to cover ourselves.

When you accept, we set a time. On the day the first thing that happens is a walkthrough. You point at what goes and, more importantly, at anything nearby that stays. That prevents the worst outcome in this trade, which is loading something somebody wanted. If you cannot be there, send a written list of what stays and we confirm before anything moves.

Then we load. You do not carry anything and nothing needs dragging to the curb. We work from wherever the items are, including upstairs bedrooms, attic stairs, back sheds and detached garages. Doors come off hinges when a piece will not clear, and furniture is taken apart rather than forced. When the truck is loaded, the spot the pile came from gets swept.

What we take and what we will not

Assume ordinary household material is fine. Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, exercise equipment, tools, shelving, boxes, bagged trash, yard and storm debris, and the contents of a garage, attic or storage unit.

Some things cannot ride on the truck at all, and this list does not bend: paint, chemicals and solvents, motor oil and other automotive fluids, propane tanks, anything containing asbestos, and medical or biohazard waste. Those need a proper disposal route. Household hazardous waste arrangements change, so confirm current Houston County or City of Dothan guidance for your address rather than taking anyone’s word for it, ours included. If you are unsure what is in a container, leave it and mention it in your request.

How the Price Is Worked Out

We price by the space the load takes up in the truck, not by weight. That is the honest way to do it for household junk, because a truck bed of packed boxes and a truck bed of foam mattresses are the same trip even though one weighs several times what the other does. You pay for volume and labor.

Beyond volume, the things that move a quote are the ones you would guess: stairs, carry distance, whether anything has to come apart to clear a doorway, and whether a truck can back near the door. All of it is visible in the photos you send, which is why the number that comes back should be the number you pay. If the scope changes on the day, work stops and we talk to you first.

    Where the Load Goes Afterward

The landfill is the last stop, not the default. Usable items get sorted toward donation, meaning clean, dry, sound and complete. Donation outlets set real standards and make the final call, so we will not promise a specific chair gets placed. Metal and appliances go for recycling where that route is available, and anything holding refrigerant stays out of a general load. What is genuinely finished goes to disposal.

    Where We Work

Dothan and Houston County are home base, and the surrounding Wiregrass towns are part of the normal route.

What to Expect, Start to Finish

    1. You send the request. Photos, your part of town, what is going, any deadline.
    2. A price comes back covering the load and the cleanup.
    3. You decide. No follow up pressure. Not right now is a fine answer.
    4. We schedule, working backward from your date if you have one.
    5. Walkthrough first, so what stays is agreed before anything is picked up.
    6. We load, sweep and go. You look it over before we pull away.

Service detail is on the furniture removal, appliance removal, cleanouts, yard and storm debris and dumpster rental alternative pages. More answers are on the FAQ page, and what to send is on the contact page.
